My thoughts on the Avengers: Age of Ultron & and Marvel slate of films. By Adam Blasucci 12/1/2014
Here are my thoughts on the trailer for Avengers: Age of Ultron. It looks awesome. Bigger than the original. James Spader’s voice is threatening, scary mechanical. He is a good villain. CGI motion capture of Spader is very realistic. Avengers to fight an epic adventure. The Hulk and the Hulk Buster Iron Man armored in action looks great. I love that use of the haunting version of the Pinocchio song “I Have No Strings On Me” it’s a great allusion to Ultron wanting to be a real boy not a robot and being free from his Creator Iron Man. You could say it’s a subversive twisted take on the classic Disney song. Only made possible because Marvel is now owned by Disney. It’s hard to see but The Vision can be glanced in the trailer. There are also hints to future heroes included in the Marvel cinematic universe like Klaw the Black Panthers mortal enemy played by Andy Sircus (he’s sure making his rounds in every major fantasy franchise Lord Of the Rings, The Planet of the Apes, The Hobbit and the next Star Wars installment). The Black Panthers is making his official appearance in Capt. America: Civil War.
it’s a very exciting time to be a comic book fan again from now until 2020 yes finally.

My thoughts on the Star Wars: Episode Seven The Force Awakens. Adam
Some people may be lukewarm to the new Star Wars trailer release in theaters and online simultaneously Friday. Well I’m excited it looks excellent. The new three pronged Sith or INQUISITOR light saber is threatening and scary and now surely has a sword appearance reminiscent of Excalibur King Arthur’s legendary sword.
The X- Wings flying over the planet surface was an awesome sight along with the Tie Fighters and the reappearance after 37 years of The Millennium Falcon brought you back to your childhood. This time around Star Wars is now a fully ethnic world with people of color. But no one the aliens and humanoids really in my opinion represent our world perfectly. Great job JJ keep it up.

The Evil Dead comes to TV: from October 2014 from
Sam Raimi and Bruce Campbell will both return to their cult favorite horror series Evil Dead for a new series on Starz.

The series, titled Ash vs. Evil Dead, will see Campbell reprise his role as Ash amidst a new Deadite invasion.

The series will consist of 10 half-hour episodes, debuting in 2015. Raimi will direct the pilot, which will be co-written by himself, Ivan Raimi, and Tom Spezialy.

“Starz first worked with Sam and Rob on Spartacus, and we are thrilled to be back in business with them,” said Carmi Zlotnik, managing director of Starz. “With Sam writing and directing and Bruce Campbell returning to the screen, we are certain the show will give Evil Dead fans around the world the fix they’ve been craving.”

“Evil Dead has always been a blast. Bruce, Rob, and I are thrilled to have the opportunity to tell the next chapter in Ash’s lame, but heroic saga. With his chainsaw arm and his ‘boomstick,’ Ash is back to kick some monster butt. And brother, this time there’s a truckload of it,” said Raimi.

“I’m really excited to bring this series to the Evil Dead fans worldwide — it’s going to be everything they have been clamoring for: serious deadite ass-kicking and plenty of outrageous humor,” said Campbell.

Ray Santiago (Touch) and Dana DeLorenzo (A Very Harold & Kumar 3D Christmas) have been cast opposite Bruce Campbell in Starz’s 10-episode series Ash Vs Evil Dead, the followup to the cult film franchise. In it, Campbell reprises his role as Ash, the aging lothario and chainsaw-handed monster hunter who has spent the last 30 years avoiding responsibility, maturity and the terrors of the Evil Dead. When a Deadite plague threatens to destroy all of mankind, Ash is finally forced to face his demons – personal and literal. Santiago, repped by TalentWorks, Levity Entertainment Group and Ginsburg Daniels, will play Pablo Simon Bolivar, an idealistic immigrant who becomes Ash’s loyal sidekick – a Sancho Panza to Ash’s Don Quixote. Pablo believes in Ash’s heroism even if Ash himself doesn’t. DeLorenzo, repped by TalentWorks, 3 Arts and Ginsburg Daniels, is Kelly Maxwell, a moody wild child trying to outrun her past. Reluctantly dragged into the fight against Evil with Ash and Pablo, Kelly finds a different kind of family with her fellow Deadite slayers. The series is set to film on location in New Zealand this spring for premiere on Starz in late 2015.

Warner Bros. and DC Entertainment announced slate of films from 2016 through 2020.
From October 2014 by Adam Blasucci
In a massive expansion of the Studio’s DC Entertainment-branded content, Warner Bros. Pictures and New Line Cinema will release a slate of at least 10 movies-as well as stand-alone Batman and Superman films-from 2016 through 2020 that expands this prized universe of characters:
here’s the breakdown of their plans:
“Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice,” directed by Zack Snyder (2016)
“Suicide Squad,” directed by David Ayer (2016)
“Wonder Woman,” starring Gal Gadot (2017)
“Justice League Part One,” directed by Zack Snyder, with Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill and Amy Adams reprising their roles (2017)
“The Flash,” starring Ezra Miller (2018)
“Aquaman,” starring Jason Momoa (2018)
“Shazam” (2019)
“Justice League Part Two,” directed by Zack Snyder (2019)
“Cyborg,” starring Ray Fisher (2020)
“Green Lantern” (2020)

During a shareholder meeting today, Warner Bros. CEO Kevin Tsujihara formally announced plans for a Justice League movie, confirming one of Hollywood’s worst-kept secrets.

The film, directed by Zack Snyder, will be divided into two parts.

He also surprised the industry with announcements of more than half a dozen movies including Wonder Woman, Suicide Squad, Green Lantern and Cyborg.
Four a-list stars are in talks to join Suicide Squad, which will be directed by David Ayer, as announced already. That film is planned for 2016, after Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice. Tsujihara called it “a gritty story of a team of supervillains who take on black ops missions for the U.S. government.

2017 will see the relase of both Wonder Woman and the first Justice League film.

“We’re bringing back the cast of Batman V Superman with a cast of other well-known and highly-anticipated superheroes,” said the CEO of Justice League. “Wonder Woman is an iconic female superhero fans have been anticipating for many years.”

2018 will bring The Flash, starring Ezra Miller, and Aquaman. With all of this new information, they finally did confirm that Jason Momoa will play the role.

“Fans among the world will become more acquainted with [The Flash] through our hit show on The CW,” said Tsujihara of marketing The Flash.

Shazam, which had been expected by many to be the first film post-Batman V Superman, will actually not hit theaters until 2019, the same year as Justice League Part 2.

While they don’t yet have release dates, he also confirmed that Cyborg is in development with Batman V Superman’s Ray Fisher and that they’re working on a Green Lantern movie again. Those films are listed on the schedule above as 2020.

Tsujihara also confirmed that the studio is working on stand-alone Batman and Superman films, although no release date was mentioned for them.

From August 2014 by Adam Blasucci from the press release about Martin Scorsese planned Ramons film biography.
Martin Scorsese is planning to direct a biopic about the granddaddys of punk The Ramones due sometime in 2016.
You can’t go wrong with him directing an interesting story about an interesting group of punks. Can’t wait to see what he does.

Andrew Garfield is now out as The Amazing Spider-Man. Sony has decided to fire Garfield as the Web Head. But Marvel and Sony have hammered out a deal for Spiderman to finally join the Marvel Cinematic Universe. According to various sources Spidey will make his first appearance in MCU proper in Captain America: Civil War. Then Sony will release a new Spider Man July 28, 2017.
Now the next Capt. America sounds awesome with the inclusion Spiderman and The Black Panther. It will also makes The Civil War adaption to be more faithful to its source material.
See all that speculation and Fanboy figures crossing paid off. Our wishes are finally coming true Spidey is where he belongs. It’s a consolation prize to the unfinished Sam Raimi Spiderman franchise and the promising start of The Amazing Spider-Man and the less successful sequel. So everything has a happy ending. It truly appears to be a great time for a superhero fans.

Marvel’s Kevin Feige to Produce Next Installment of the Spider-Man Franchise with Amy Pascal

(Culver City, California, and Burbank, California February 09, 2015) – Sony Pictures Entertainment and Marvel Studios announced today that Sony is bringing Marvel into the amazing world of Spider-Man.

Under the deal, the new Spider-Man will first appear in a Marvel film from Marvel’s Cinematic Universe (MCU). Sony Pictures will thereafter release the next installment of its $4 billion Spider-Man franchise, on July 28, 2017, in a film that will be co-produced by Kevin Feige and his expert team at Marvel and Amy Pascal, who oversaw the franchise launch for the studio 13 years ago. Together, they will collaborate on a new creative direction for the web slinger. Sony Pictures will continue to finance, distribute, own and have final creative control of the Spider-Man films.

Marvel and Sony Pictures are also exploring opportunities to integrate characters from the MCU into future Spider-Man films.

The new relationship follows a decade of speculation among fans about whether Spider-Man – who has always been an integral and important part of the larger Marvel Universe in the comic books – could become part of the Marvel Universe on the big screen. Spider-Man has more than 50 years of history in Marvel’s world, and with this deal, fans will be able to experience Spider-Man taking his rightful place among other Super Heroes in the MCU.

Bob Iger, Chairman and CEO, The Walt Disney Company said: “Spider-Man is one of Marvel’s great characters, beloved around the world. We’re thrilled to work with Sony Pictures to bring the iconic web-slinger into the Marvel Cinematic Universe, which opens up fantastic new opportunities for storytelling and franchise building.”

“We always want to collaborate with the best and most successful filmmakers to grow our franchises and develop our characters. Marvel, Kevin Feige and Amy, who helped orchestrate this deal, are the perfect team to help produce the next chapter of Spider-Man,” said Michael Lynton, Chairman and CEO of Sony Pictures Entertainment. “This is the right decision for the franchise, for our business, for Marvel, and for the fans.”

“Sony Pictures and Marvel Studios share a love for the characters in the Spider-Man universe and have a long, successful history of working together. This new level of collaboration is the perfect way to take Peter Parker’s story into the future,” added Doug Belgrad, president, Sony Pictures Entertainment Motion Picture Group.

“I am thrilled to team with my friends at Sony Pictures along with Amy Pascal to produce the next Spider-Man movie,” said Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige. “Amy has been deeply involved in the realization on film of one of the world’s most beloved characters. Marvel’s involvement will hopefully deliver the creative continuity and authenticity that fans demand from the MCU. I am equally excited for the opportunity to have Spider-Man appear in the MCU, something which both we at Marvel, and fans alike, have been looking forward to for years.”

Spider-Man, embraced all over the world, is the most successful franchise in the history of Sony Pictures, with the five films having taken in more than $4 billion worldwide.
More Spiderman news:With Sony and Marvel casting a new Spider-Man, now it’s said Dylan O’Brien and Logan Lerman are eyed for the role.

Variety reports Sony has yet to approach any actors, but O’Brien and Lerman are among the list of actors that would play the new Spider-Man in Marvel’s Captain America: Civil War and the standalone Sony film.

It’s also said Sony needs to decide if they will even go with the classic Spider-Man and Peter Parker version or decide to go with the Ultimate Spider-Man, Miles Morales, whose parents are African American and Puerto Rican.

According to the report, Sony is also seeking a new director, as Marc Webb is out, before finding the new Spider-Man.

Further information about the new Spider-Man again mentions Spider-Man set in Midtown High School, with it said to “spend more time in the setting and explore his awkward relationship with other students while fighting crime out of the classroom. Midtown is a major setting in the comicbooks, and Peter Parker also returns to the school to become a science teacher in storylines.”

Last night saw the news of Spider-Man being a part of the Marvel movie universe with the news Spidey set to appear first in a Marvel Studios movie followed by a Sony solo film.

The news also made mention that Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige would be onboard the new Spider-Man as a producer.

Now details regarding the Sony and Marvel deal have apparently come to light as Variety offers the following details:

It’s actually said to be a “free” deal as Marvel Studios won’t have to pay Sony for the use of Spider-Man in Captain America 3, an Avengers movie or any other film.

It’s also reported Marvel won’t be receiving a cut of the box office from Sony’s Spider-Man movies, and also that Sony will not be getting anything for the Marvel movies.

It is said Marvel may benefit from the Sony Spider-Man films if the new Spider-Man movies hit certain box office milestones, with that deal being likened to more of a producer structure.

How the deal benefits both sides is that Spider-Man gives both Sony and Marvel a way to generate more exposure for their properties as Spider-Man is one of the biggest household superhero names.

The report also states that Spider-Man will be recast, and they are looking for a younger actor to play the role as Spider-Man will have his roots set in high school.

It’s further said that Kevin Feige will not be involved with the planned Spider-Man spinoffs, Sinister Six, Venom, and the female-centric Spider-Man spinoff, which are still on the table.
