Marvel Comics has announced the return of Peter Parker in Amazing Spider-Man #1, by Dan Slott and Humberto Ramos, as part of as part of All-New Marvel NOW! in April.

Marvel fed the story to The New York Daily News on Sunday.

“We’ve gone over 30 issues without Peter Parker, so when we let him out of that box and he gets to put on that costume again and he gets to swing through the sky, it’s going to be the greatest feeling, Slott told The New York Daily News.

“But there’s a twist. There’s always a twist.”

Marvel will likely have a follow-up press release on Monday before the book is solicited this week.
Marvel Studios has announced that two-time Academy Award winner Michael Douglas will play Hank Pym in Ant-Man.
Douglas joins director Edgar Wright and Paul Rudd for the movie, slated for July 31, 2015. Rudd will play Scott Lang.
“With Hank Pym’s rich history in the Marvel Universe, we knew we needed an actor capable of bringing the weight and stature to the role that the character deserves,” said Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige. “We felt incredibly relieved when Michael Douglas agreed to step into the part with the charm and fortitude he brings to every character he inhabits, and couldn’t be more excited to see what he will do to bring Hank Pym to life.”
Douglas, 69, earned an Academy Award in the category of Best Actor in a Leading Role for his portrayal of Gordon Gecko in Wall Street.
His credits also include has also starred in numerous modern classics including Basic Instinct, Fatal Attraction, The Game, Wonder Boys, Traffic and Romancing the Stone. Most recently, Douglas earned a Golden Globe and his first Primetime Emmy Award for his role as Liberace in the HBO original film Behind the Candelabra.

S.H.I.E.L.D. CASTING: Bill Paxton will appear in Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. in at least four episodes, according to TV Guide. Paxton will play Agent John Garrett, introduced in the comics in Elektra: Assassin.
