* NORMAN OSBORN CAST: Chris Cooper has been cast in The Amaizng Spider-Man 2 as Norman Osborn.


Cooper joins a cast that returns Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone and Sally Field and welcome Jamie Foxx, Paul Giamatti, Dane DeHaan, Colm Feore and Shailene Woodley.


The Spider-Man sequel will be in theaters on May 2, 2014.

* VAUGHN JOINS FF: According to Deadline, Matthew Vaughn has come aboard Fox’s Fantastic Four reboot as a producer. Josh Trank is directing from a script by Jeremy Slater. The movie is scheduled for March 6, 2015 release.


* MANDARIN: Marvel Studios has unveiled an Iron Man 3 poster image of Ben Kingsley as The Mandarin.

* FOX ON TURTLES: Filmmaker Michael Bay has posted the following on his website: “TMNT: we are bringing Megan Fox back into the family!”


According to Variety, Fox will play April O’Neil in the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie produced by Bay. Fox worked with Bay on the first two Tranformers movies.



Via Twitter, X-Men: Days of Future Past director Bryan Singer has announced that Peter Dinklage has joined the cast. It is reported that he will play Puck.


DC Comics has announced a June launch for Batman/Superman, an ongoing title by Greg Pak and Jae Lee. The series will be set in the early days of DC’s New 52 continuity and will deal with the heroes’ first meeting.

* MORE ARROW: The CW has given a second-season renewal for Arrow, which has been the network’s most-watched series this season.
