Stan Lee & Spiderman

Happy 90th Birthday Stan Lee!

Thank you for getting me interested in reading.

And also getting clogged generation of your readers

into reading. I always knew you were more than

that friendly and grandfatherly voice I heard on the

Spider Friends Saturday morning cartoon in the 80’s.

You taught us a lot of important lessons.

Like heroes must be moral and that they also have

feet of clay and can be flawed like us mere mortals.

Thank you for your creating and ce-creating some of

the most unique characters in comic books and pop culture

today. Characters such as Spiderman, The Incredible Hulk,

The Invincible Iron Man, The Avengers, The Uncanny X-Men,

Daredevil, The Green Goblin, Dr. Octopus, Magneto and

many others.

And also thank you for making New York City a real city

where all the characters know each other and interact with each other.

This revolutionary idea for a reality to these larger-than-life action pack stories.

Thank you for making Marvel comics were the greatest comic book companies

ever are making comic books the art form they are today.

Happy 50th Spiderman Birthday!

Thank you for 50 years and 700 issues

excitement and an action-packed web swinging adventures.

Thank you for showing us anyone can be a hero even a skinny teenager

from Queens. And also thank you Spiderman and Stan Lee are teaching us

“With great power there also comes great responsibility” truly words to live by.

Even though you finally met your heroic end recently I say long live Stan Lee and Spiderman!

To celebrate I am watching The Amazing Spiderman tonight.
