Marvel Comics

has unveiled its Marvel NOW! title, Superior Spider-Man, which will begin in January following the end of Amazing Spider-Man with #700 in December.

Dan Slott, the writer of Amazing Spider-Man, continues on the new title. Ryan Stegman will draw the first three issues and will be joined in the book’s art rotation by Humberto Ramos and Giuseppe Camuncoli.

The first story arc will be called “Hero or Menace?” as Slott points the character in a darker direction.

“This is still very much the world of Spider-Man,” Slott said. “There may be a new Spider-Man here, doing things in a new and different way, but you’ re going to see the Spider-cast reacting to this. You’ re going to see how this Spider-Man will deal with our Spider-Man’ s villains. How will he react to this Spider-Man’ s supporting cast? Whoever makes it out of Amazing Spider-Man #700 will find a different Spider-Man waiting for them when Superior Spider-Man starts.”

Slott said the Vulture will be an important early villain.

The Arrow is an amazing show. In the first minutes of the show Death Stroke mask is shown. The only other DC comics Easter egg I noticed was Oliver calling his sister Speedy and her drug addiction. It’s been a little more than a year since SMALLVILLE went off the air. Finally there is a comic book show to fill the void left.

I love the more realistic and gritty depiction of Arrow on par with THE DARK KNIGHT TRILOGY.

I can’t wait for the future the series which features more DC characters like Dead Shot and Huntress.

Tomorrow I’m going to see Sinister it looks very scary.
