(6/7/2017)(6/7/2017)Happy 37 birthday Danny. I wish you. Well, everybody does. Today I was thinking about the times when we were on vacation and it was time to go to bed. You would turn over and tried to tackle me, which would last for an hour or so. I wouldn’t get my full eight hours of sleep when we shared a bed together on vacation. I also remember the times you would try to scratch or spit on me on long trips to New York or Florida. You really like to have fun and tease me, what are brothers for? You definitely made sure everyone around you had a great time all the time. And now you’re always making sure I have a great time wherever I go. You make sure the weather is good. You also give us a great parking spot at the movies or the mall. And you’re always sending around your bird to Rachel and us. Thank you Danny my Robin. Happy Birthday Danny!! Love, Adam

Wes Craven

Monster Mania 4

Saturday I went to Monster Mania 4! I met Director Wes Craven (A Nightmare on Elm Street and Scream) one of my Horror director idols And directors. I got his autograph on my copy of Scream on DVD. I stayed for his Q&A session excellent time. I found out that there were plans to possibly make a Scream 4, but Wes truly feels that Scream is a Trilogy and shouldn’t go on. He was a Baptist; he could not view Movies including horror movies until graduates. Then he was blown away by the power of film. He was a teacher for a few years, then went on film jobs such as editing. After that He went on to make his first film a cautionary revenge tale The Last House on the Left. His friend Shaun S. Cunningham produced the film. He talked about the rest of his career. He also talked about his current movie in theaters Red Eye. I had a similar childhood I was only allowed child friendly monster movies like Abbott and Costello meet Frankenstein. As a child I used to be afraid of Freddy and Jason. When I became a teenager I started watching all kinds of horror films. Now I have a true fascination with everything Horror such as Slasher, monster, supernatural and psychological thrillers. Most of Wes Craven’s ideas come from newspaper articles he’s read including A Nightmare on Elm Street. Where he what he read About the case of teenagers mysteriously dying In his sleep. Really scary stuff.

Update: 8/31/2013
Wes Craven 1939-8/30/2015
Last night we lost one of the greatest film directors and horror film director.
Wes Craven passed away from brain cancer last night at 76 years old. I was lucky enough to meet him and get his autograph at Monster Mania 4. He was a very nice man, was very intelligent and had a great sense of humor, and he told me Adam I know you from Adam.
We lost an important, intelligent and funny voice of the horror movie. We learned from his films The Last House on the Left, The Hills Have Eyes and A Nightmare on Elm Street showed us that sometimes if good people take the law into their own hands they also become the monster or the villain of the story. We should not let tragedies transform us into vengeful monsters just as bad as the monstrous killers of each movie. A Nightmare on Elm Street also showed us that sometimes the sins of the father are visited upon the children, or the dream demon bites the children on the ass. He truly made an iconic horror, maniac Freddy Krueger based on Was frightening vision of homeless man outside his apartment window as a child.

Here are my favorite Wes Craven films: A Nightmare on Elm Street, Swamp Thing, Wes Craven’s A New Nightmare, The Scream trilogy, The Serpent and the Rainbow Cursed, Red Eye, The People Under the Stairs, My Soul to Take, Stranger in Our House/ Summer of Fear TV Movie with Linda Blair, The Hills Have Eyes, The Last House on the Left Up and The Shocker.
Wes our nightmares will never be the same without you.
I did a little shopping mostly superhero fair including Craven’s Swamp Thing, which is a monster film with a scientist turned into a heroic monster. I sat for a few other Q&A’s for Rob Zombie’s The Devil’s Rejects and director-producer Sean S. Cunningham director of Friday the 13th. Someone asked, “Why a hockey mask?” Cunningham said it could’ve been any kind of mask. Jason basically is a faceless monster a representation of evil. “… The Bogeyman!” It was a great night of horror. My father who really isn’t into scary things told me Frankenstein’s monster truly scared the expletive out of him. (Friday the 13th was filmed in Blairstown New Jersey) I consider Nightmare and Friday to be the premier horror film franchises, with Halloween in a close second. Listening to both directors certainly clarifies it. I’ve watched about 1000 hours of horror films. And many franchises truly fall flat on their face. They seem to consistently Forget tone of the original film become silly or totally forget the first film. I am not alone with my fascination on all things scary. There must’ve been a few thousand-horror fans at the convention. I’m not a weirdo!

DIY Group Costume: Jay and Silent Bob

I honestly think this costume works just as well as a couples costume as it does for 2 guys. The reason? If a woman goes as Jay, there is no need to invest in a blonde wig.

It’s a bird. It’s a plane. It’s… Batman v Superman’s Michael Wilkinson. We caught up with the costume designer in advance of his MAGIC panel — held at the Las Vegas Convention Center this weekend — to discuss what we can expect from the highly anticipated film’s wardrobe.

But first — what brought him out to MAGIC? The chance to meet and greet fashion’s finest, of course. “I’ve heard about MAGIC for years, and have always been intrigued by it,” said Wilkinson, who attended the fashion convention for the first time with his WilkinsonMartin design partner Tim Martin. “Then, I was invited to be on the panel about costume design for superheroes — so that sealed the deal! I love the idea of such a huge event filled with exciting new products and bursting with creative souls.”

During the panel, Wilkinson — who is best known for his work on
